We’re always delighted to hear from people that are interested in volunteering at our intergenerational workshops.

We run programmes at retirement homes across London. Our workshops usually take place on weekday lunchtimes and last for around two hours. All of our workshops are led by trained facilitators.

What’s involved?

Volunteers support the smooth running of our intergenerational workshops. Activities include:

  • Assisting with on-the-day workshop preparation and clearing up

  • Getting involved with the workshop activities (joining in games, assisting the facilitator, helping pupils with reading and writing etc.)

  • Supporting older participants with additional needs (e.g. hearing difficulties, mobility issues, memory loss etc.)

You can find out more about the role in our Volunteer Pack.

Where are the workshops?

We are currently running workshops in the following London boroughs:

  • Hackney

  • Greenwich

  • Lambeth

  • Lewisham

  • Merton

  • Tower Hamlets

  • Waltham Forest
